Meet the Founder: Safavion Terrell
Safavion Terrell has spent 13 years in freight and logistics, starting his career coordinating pickups and deliveries with shippers and receivers and scheduling truckload, expedited, and partial-load freight. That hands-on foundation, combined with a background in Logistics and Global Supply Chain Management, shaped how he built AWOL Logistics: around coordination, visibility, and execution.
In 2023, Safavion founded AWOL Logistics to bring that same standard to shippers who can't afford errors. Today he leads a team that supports manufacturers, healthcare organizations, technology providers, energy companies, and retail and commercial development teams across North America, coordinating everything from sprinter vans to full truckload, with hands-on oversight from pickup through delivery.
Case Study: 26 Minutes to Save a Store Opening
It was 6 PM on a Friday, and a client's crates were still sitting on a dock in Ohio. An install crew in Miami needed that material the next day for a store opening, and the shipper's dock closed at 8 PM. A two-hour window to solve a same-day, cross-country problem.
The client called AWOL at 6:00 PM. By 6:26 PM, we had a truck booked and dispatched, beating the shipper's doors closing.
The crates arrived in Miami on time, undamaged, and handled with care. The install crew had what they needed, and the store opening went off without a hitch.
